We can expect to here more of this as the remaining holocaust survivors begin to die off in ever greater numbers. The less first-hand witnesses remain, the more outrageous the claims of the holocaust revisionists will be.

Of course the resulting backlash among the world community will make them even more of a pariah state. But if it helps the Iranian leadership divert their people’s attention from their own failings as a government, then it’s probably worth the PR damage.

I don’t believe President Ahmadinejad is quite the fanatic he is portrayed as. I believe he knows exactly what he is doing stirring stuff up like this and antagonising the West.
