The Queen hopes for first visit to Ireland next year
I would see this as positive step in bringing the relations between the Britain and Ireland closer together. Now that the IRA has decommissioned its arms, the time for her to visit has never been better. There is a degree of personal interest too on her part. The Queen, being horse mad like many in this nation, has said that one of her lifelong wishes was to go to the races in Ireland.
